During their fifth grade, Oxford Elementary school mates, B. Calder and S. Whalen each broke an arm. (Ice and monkey bars were involved) 40 years later, S. Whalen is a respected professional photographer living in Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. His photos of the Pugwash area have inspired his old school mate to once again, dabble in painting.
Thank you, S. Whalen, for your inspiration!
B Calder began professionally painting in 2021, after being forced to retire due to a disability called Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). She has been a cottager on the Northumberland Strait for over 50 years and dreams of one day making it her permanent home.
